The Matlock Project

The Matlock Project showcases a meticulously crafted 6x3m Gazebo, constructed with traditional mortise and tenon joints secured by draw and dowel methods. Every detail has been carefully executed using modern power tools. This gazebos journey began by handpicking European structural graded Oak from our local supplier. Upon delivery, each beam was expertly planed on-site. Next, we strategically positioned and meticulously cut mortises and tenons before dry fitting the curved wind braces and assembling on granite staddle stone. This gazebo features a 6x6 frame with half way 6x6 collar tie. At the request of our clients, we skillfully routed a channel on the upper surface of our beams to seamlessly accommodate LED strip lights. This thoughtful enhancement beautifully illuminates the impressive 6x2 rafters and enhances the charm of the decorative matchboard-over-board cladding.
